As often as I visit this site it still cuts to the bone when I see you have added another Gone but not Forgotten album. It's upsetting to read about the animals that are PTS and more so, PTS on their due out date with no chance for adoption. The reality is no matter how cute, sweet, playful, scared or sad they are, they will never all be adopted, there are just too many that come through the doors. I am dumbfounded by the lack of a basic human instinct, that's called caring, that the majority of people in this city have for animals. It has to be the majority, how else could there be so many strays and turn-ins. I have heard quite a few horror stories about the shelter in Memphis, and Sylvia your pictures drive them home, but there is also an immense need for simple education for animal owners in this city; that and a great spay/neuter program. What a shame that people can be so simple and backward yet the only ones that suffer are the poor animals that end up with these monsters. Keep up the good fight Sylvia. It's not in vain. You're helping as many as you can.
