Album Description:

The Cedar Waxwing photo's are special for my girlfriend Donna (deestea) These beautiful birds arrived at my window as I was writing a comment in one of Donna's beautiful albums. I dropped her like a hot potato and went running for my camera.

 • Hi Laura: It was a real pleasure to go through this album and see all your birds. I really enjoyed it! It is so difficult to get good photos as some species don't sit still enough. But when they do. the photos are worth it! Thank you and have a great day! Darlene in Ontario, Canada http://community.webshots.com/user/littledarlings were you can see wild birds, parrots, animals, flowers, nature, etc.

 • Some very nice birding shots. It seems alot of these are taken from your home, but some, like the eagles, vulture and osprey were taking while out hiking? Good shots all!

 • Hi Laura! You want hummers in your garden! Certainly I want! But the spreading of bird flu is really worrying much! I used to place a bowl of bread in my balcony for the bird and pigeon families around my apartment, but now I have to stop this temporarily. I don't feel comfortable for this for all these birds are my friends, and they have been flying and hanging around my balcony to keep looking for their snacks. Truly, #97 is a masterpiece! Thank you dear friend! Cheers and Hugs! CS

 • Hi Laura, Have you wondered where I have been? Busy in the yard with veggies coming now I am getting ready for family coming tomorrow and Monday. We will be here till Friday and then we all go to our Karen's for the Labor Day weekend. I cleaned all day yesterday awaiting Tina's call that she had landed but instead we got the call that they were delayed and instead of arriving in Ct. in order to go to her girlfriends for the weekend before coming here on Monday she said she would not be landing @ 4:45 but instead at 9:00 PM which later turned out to be 10:37. Thursday we had 4 big trees taken out from our front yard finally. They were supposed to be down in April. So we have been busy with cleanup for company. This album is so lovely with the birds. I am sure our bird traffic will be a little different with those trees out. I will have a webshots ready to go after Karen & Tina's shock of seeing it. We did not tell them so thus the surprise. When you see the pictures you will see why we had them out - big time rot. Well my friend you take care and maybe when I get on the computer again I'll have pictures however we are supposed to be getting a backlash from the present hurricane. Love-n-hugs, Janet

 • Dear Laura, I deeply love all feathered friends! I admire their mighty power of seeing our messy world (or their beautiful nature) high from the sky. I admire their unbelievable power of migrating from the far North to the far South. I admire their incredible power of surviving in the heavy snow, then having a little bath in a little pond at the Equator. All of them are so gorgeous! Thank you so much for keep sharing your beautiful shots of the beautiful feathered friends. Big Big Big Hugs to You! Biggest Biggest Biggest Hugs to All Feathered Friends! CS

 • Laura, These bird pictures are amazing! We have most of the same birds up here in Washington but I can't seem to get them to hold still and smile for me long enough to get a picture. I looked at your other albums again and I want to go to Oregon...right now! It is a photographer's paradise, or at least your little corner of the state is. I would be honored to share what little I know about digital infrared photography. My email address is on my Webshots homepage over on the left where I talk a little about myself. Please drop me a line so I have an address to reply to. Have a good 4th of July holiday! Craig from Washington State

 • Hi Laura! I'm so happy that you dropped Donna (deestra) like a hot potato and captured these beautiful bird photos for all of us to enjoy! I'm sure that Donna didn't really mind at all! She's a sweet lady! :-)) Thanks for the guestbook message in my Midwest Spring album. Although I took most of the photos included in the album, Bob did take some of them. We really enjoy our photographic trips to MBG and other places. We were taking so many identical photos that on a lot of our trips over to MBG we now carry walkie-talkies with us and go in our separate directions. But . . . we still get a lot of similar photos. We have learned a lot from each other the last few years. Thanks for your sweet comments and your albums are all so beautiful. Have a wonderful weekend. Sharon

 • WOW, these photos are outstanding! Awesome quality! I have been trying to capture birds in my mom's garden and first of all I'm a bit of a novice in the camera department, but also the subject doesn't seem to stand still for too long....I will work on it and perservere as I see it paid off with your work! Stunning birds, and must be a joy to hear them sing every morning! All the best for this coming weekend. Warm blessings, amy

My town is arounded from the Adda's river which marks the border of the province of Milan and the canal of the Martesana once navigable, for the trasnport in Milan the building materials. The Adda’s river Is our water source for our homes and other uses. Friendly. Renato

 • Hi Laura. Like your other albums you've kept it interesting. I like the gold finches, the blue jays and the red winged black bird. Your wood ducks are much more colourful than our Aussie wood ducks. All the water birds are of course just fantastic. Thanks for sharing with me Laura. I have an album that I think you will like. It's in my shortshooter albums and I think it's called "Cockatoos and friends". It's something like that. Catch you later mate. Hugs and best wishes Al..

 • Hahaha! Dear Laura! You dropped Donna like a hot potato ... I hope the hot potato didn't become smashed potato (I love smashed potato)! But for me, if I could see a beautiful bird arrived at my kitchen window while I was getting a fresh egg to prepare for my breakfast, I might simply drop the egg and dashed for my camera too! Beautiful birds are rare in a concrete jungle. I can only enjoy watching birds in the birds park or conservatory. I admire all people who can have easy access to see beautiful birds in their natural environment. Congratulations to you! The cover photo is definitely a masterpiece! Humming bird is my uniqiue favourite, I admire the striking power of its tiny wings! Dear Friend! Thank you very much for accepting me as one of your favourite members. I totally agree with you for the number of favourite members is hardly enough and is so precious! Thank you so much for enjoying my B&Ws! One thing I have to tell you, and is hard to believe such a conincidence (this is truly a wonderful world)! I'm right in the process of preparing some new B&W photos for re-arranging my B&W albums. I love selecting good photos to convert them to some inspiring B&W photos. Using Photoshop to make funny effects on some of my photos is my another favourite enjoyment, but I'm still not an expert on Photoshop. Dear Laura, I'm very happy to exchange some of our photography experience with you, on taking the shots or having fun with the photos afterwards. Hehehe! I see we have to stop for a rest, we can continue our never ending chats later. See You! Please keep watching Fred's nice family, as I want to see their beautiful babies growing up happily, through your great photos! Best Wishes and Happiest Smiles to You! CS :>

 • Hi Laura, Pleasure getting a note from you and I can see that you're busy, hard to catch up, but I'm not worried about it. Saw Weezie's site, got your stuff on her site, nice of her, as is this album of 'fine feathered friends'. I must note what you have against what we have on the coast. We're close, but we don't have turkey's close enough to capture via camera. On trips, I take both cameras, just in case one runs out of something. Appreciate your note. Say hello to all. Do visit the TEA shop up north, t'is worth going back a second and third time too!! Best regards and thanks for the many showings lately. Ron

I hope the big guys can find enough food elsewhere and leave all the Mertz's alone. Great photos girlfriend. I always enjoy your new photos and your sweet comments in my albums. Gardening has come to a standstill here as we are in some cold front from Canada and will be for the next week. I had to bring in my tomato plants and the flowers that I hadn't planted yet. It's so cold we had to turn the heat back on and I hate that. I was sooo enjoying the open windows and airing out the winter funk...lol. Take care Laura and keep on clicking. Love 'n' Hugs. Donna

 • Hi Laura, I didn't lose my satellite connection this time so got to download some of these beautiful photos. You asked in a couple of my albums if we farm out here in the country? No, this used to be the family farm of my husband, Clarence. All the acreage was sold, except for the 10 1/2 that he retained. It's lot to mow, but I love that John Deere riding mower. Bought it myself! We have 2 garden plots, one for veggies and corn, and the other for Indian Corn, as it's called here. Great for Fall decorations. The beautiful spots out here, you have seen in my albums, just as I've seen yours. Both so beautiful and both so different from each other. My email address is swilsieschultz@yahoo.com. I would love to hear from you, dear friend. Love ya Sharon

 • Hi Laura, here you go again, another nice album and the photos are well taken. We used to get the CA quail, but now too many cats in the area, but we've seen the cedar waxwing twice here in two years, the robins abound, we have one Townsend Warbler that has taken refuge in a sequoia along with both kinds of chickadees, one or two towhees pound the ground in the early morning hours and the bad guy that tours the neighborhood is a sharp-shined hawk that have taken out one or two of the house sparrows here. You've large flocks of many, quite a yard of plenty, but I think that lake of yours really does the yard nicely. A nice featured album, really nice. Take care and best regards. Ron/Oregon Coast

Actually, I am very glad you did because, as I said earlier, these are just beautiful photos of our little feathered friends. By the way, guess what I saw today.....the tops of my daffodils are popping out.....I am sooooo excited. I was out there talking to them, saying, "hurry up you little buttercups so I can take your picture"!!! We are expecting a couple of warm days this weekend, so I have my hopes up. I could just picture you running through the house because I have done the same thing so many times. I have yet to capture the beautiful cardinals that frequent my back deck because I am usually running to get my camera and then I scare them off....lol. I love the photos you took today. Not only are the cedar waxwings beautiful but I spotted new buds and growth on the trees. Hooray!!! Great photos!! Now I am off to see your new album. Love 'n' Hugs. Donna

 • Seems a while since I got into Webshots but I needed to fill a few spare moments today so here I am. I envy the wide variety of birds you have that call by. Here we have put out a couple of bird tables and we now attract a larger number of birds but we are still restricted to the sparrows, blackbirds, bluetits and occasional thrush robin. I guess that because we're in a pretty exposed spot. See you've been adding more pics recently to so I guess I'd better dig into the box to see what else I can find. Best wishes, Mike.

I went out and took more photos today at one of my favorite neighborhood hangouts, but it's just lacking the color of flowers, green grass and trees. I'm trying to be patient...lol. Thanks again for the wonderful new photos. Peace and Love, Donna
