  • Do please add your comments to my guestbook. Most of the pics are of my own small herd of GG's which started in '82 with foundation female R126 Tambo Harriet *2. My prefix "PEACLOND&qu ot; is an Anglo-Saxon word meaning "land of the Peacs". The Peacs were nomadic hill-dwelling tribes in Derbyshire. Peakland (or the Peak District)was the first UK National Park. The "Golden Guernsey" is a BRITISH breed which is also listed as a RARE BREED by the RBST (rare breed survival trust). Goats have to be registered with the BGS (British Goat Society) to have GG status. They cannot be "bred up to". See www.goatgenetics.com for more details. Cheers, Christine Ball.
