Hi, I absolutely love the pics in your album. In fact the one you have of them with the red bows is part of my screensaver! About a year and a half ago, we adopted a year and a half old female ACD/Blue Heeler mix as they called her and I'm stunned to see that she looks EXACTLY like the one you have in your album nursing her puppies! I've always found it quite confusing and perhaps you can answer this for me. I realize Blue Heelers aren't a recognized AKC breed correct? I've heard some people call them Australian Cattle Dogs. What is the actual difference? It gets somewhat confusing after awhile. Would love to see more pics of Elle as well! Thanks. Regards, Maria

Could it be that they meant to say Australian Shepard/Blue Heeler mix? the name "blue heeler" and "red Heeler" are slang names for Australian Cattle Dogs. They are one in the same. The ACD is an AKC recognized breed. I have papers on all my dogs. Thanks so much for sending a message. I love my Dogs! The picture with the bows was my Christmas card this year. I'll be adding some more pictures soon, Elle (the new puppy) is so active it is hard to get a picture of her! :) If you have anymore questions, feel free to ask. Shanan, Thanks for answering my question but I must admit if mine is an Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix, then she looks almost identical to Elle. Perhaps I'll send you a photo and you can be the judge! The description they did use was Australian Cattle/Blue Heeler mix..go figure! Sydney is not as "stout/stocky& quot; as some of the Australian Cattle Dogs I have seen on the official website, hence my confusion. She's leaner yet I've seen some look like that also. In the picture of your dogs with the Christmas bows, the one on the left is what Sydney looks like, yet your ACD in the middle is stockier with a wider face, more of the type one sees on the ACD websites. Your red ACD is gorgeous as well. Keep the pictures coming. Hope Elle has a moment of relaxation so that you can take more of her! Thanks for your response. Maria
