  • Thank you so much for sharing these pictures, I also have a black Cocker...I can't describe how much I love him, Maxwell, by seeing your pictures I can really understand how she became apart of your family. I'm sorry for your loss, but it's good to hear she lived for so long, and gave you many years of happiness. PS-Have you gotten another dog?

  • I only wish I had a better camera back then, Black Dogs are so hard to photograph. Pooh was my shadow, never even needed a leash, so kind hearted towards other animals, she had a long and fullfilled life, I have so many memories!

  • Poohbear will always be in your heart. Thank you for sharing him with us. I hope countless happy memories have outweighed your grief.

  • thank you for sharing the affecton and love you had, as well as have, for Poohbear. My black cocker, Eli, favors Poohbear so much. Eli was abandon at a young age. Around 5 months old, he was rescued, adopted, and will be loved forever. But my heart is sad with the loss of Poohbear, he will never be replaced but let another pet brighten your heart. I have experienced the same.

  • Poohbear made me cry! He reminds me of my own Boo Radley. I rescued Boo from a nasty person. He was 2 years old & weighed 11 lbs. when I got him! I worked really hard to make him as happy & healthy as I could, & it wasn't hard 'cuz he had such a good nature. Despite what he'd been through, he was sweet and gentle with kids & loved my dog Tuppy (also now in heaven). The only time he was ever aggressive was when I neighbor's dog got loose and attacked me in our yard. Boo seemed healthy, but his liver was bad. We didn't know it; he was asymptomatic. He fell ill suddenly & was gone in less than 48 hours. Broke my heart! I'll bet he & Tuppy are having a great time in Heaven, maybe playing with PoohBear!
