Hi Kathy, You probably don't remember me writing to you when I had to have my dobie (Brandy) put to sleep & I was waiting to bring my kitty Buddy home from the vets because I was having some health problems. Well after 4 months I finally got Buddy home. They had taken such good care of him, he weighed 12 lbs.! He's been on a special diet "OM" food but he doesn't look like he's lost any weight. He is so precious, loving & funny. I'm so happy to have him home. I have been taking pictures but haven't used up all the film yet. I'm still a little slow. He is such a joy. He follows me everywhere & doesn't let me out of his sight. He may be a little spoiled? If I tell him he is such a beautiful kitty, he immediately rolls over on his back & waits for me to scratch his chin & behind his ears. He sleeps on my bed & if I wake up during the night(which I do alot), he comes up & licks me under the chin & then he will take one front paw & its like he pats me on my cheek very gently. He usually sleeps in the bend of my leg because he has to be touching me, but sometimes he will sleep on the other pillow on my bed then he has to reach one front paw so he can 'pat' me every once in a while. I guess he is just checking to be sure I'm still there. I've never had an indoor kitty before & I think sometimes he thinks he's a watchdog or I guess you would call him a 'watchcat'. He tells me if someone is coming & stay right beside me if anyone comes. It's like he thinks he is 'guarding' me. I guess I have spoiled him alot, he has to have an icecube in his water when I give him fresh water, he tells me when he has used his litterbox because he wants it cleaned (then he sits there & watches when I clean his litterbox, change his water, & when I put food in his dish). When I say he follows me, I guess I should just say he watches everything I do. He has even decided he should ride in my powerchair with me. I never realized how smart cats can be, because I tell him which room I am going to & he goes right to that room, whether its the kitchen, bedroom or good grief...even the bathroom! He has been so much company to me & I am so glad I have him. I couldn't get another dog after my Brandy passed away because I couldn't take it to obedience classes, but my Kitty Buddy has been a blessing to me. I love him so much & I know he understands when I tell him I love him because he has to do his that little affection thing (lick me under the chin & reach up to pat me on the cheek with his paw). I never knew how loving, understanding, & a wonderful companion a kitty like Buddy could be. When I have to go to the doctor or physical therapy, I always tell him I'm going to the doctor's but he has to stay & guard the house. When I come back he is waiting & after we go thru this ritual of "how beautiful he is & such a good boy", he runs to one of his towers & scratches on his post(just to let me know he didn't like being left), then he's back to my loving Kitty Buddy. My Aunt comes in the evening to put this prescription med. on my shoulders & upper back so Buddy sits & watches. She then puts my water & Ensure by my bed for me to take my med. with, so Buddy runs around the house hiding behind each doorway so he can reach out & swat her on the ankle(lightly), then runs. She has taught him this(unfortunately), because she will reach out & 'swat' him when he isn't looking. She thinks its cute to sneakup on him when he's not looking. So he will come & sit in front of her chair, she pets him a few minutes, then he swats at her & the chase is on again. I hope I can get the film used up so I can get some pictures of him posted soon. In between doctors, the injections & P.T. it is taking too much time. I haven't been able to use my cpu much either but if all this medical 'stuff' helps enough maybe at least I won't have to have more surgery. This is the first time in a long time that I have used my cpu, but I wanted you to know that your photos are all so beautiful, but I always go back to the photos of your beautiful TiTi. They are my favorite. I hope I can show you my Kitty Buddy soon. He is a light gray but when he lays on his back his white chin & his stomach is white with light gray sort of stripes but the stripes aren't really 'straight stripes'. I'm not too good with descriptions, so I better try to get his pictures done. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder! TiTi is a beautiful kitty & maybe someone besides me will think my Buddy is too. Take care. Marilyn (Southern CA too).

Dearest Kathy! Thank you for your kind words in my Coit Tower album - isn't the D70 wonderful? Les is the greatest husband for giving it to me for my birthday! Titi is a very photogenic cat, but I can't tell if he is a he or she is a she (too much fur I suppose). I would guess from the whiskers that he is male, but ..... By the way, I love those whiskers.

Kathy, I was writing Danett to thank her for her comments about my "vicious&quo t; doberman pictures when I saw your comments about your cat, Titi. My dobie loved everybody & never met a stranger. Her vet said she was more like a poodle. She always had to have one of her stuffed animals with her(& she had lots of them). She was a lover & couldn't understand why anyone would ever be afraid of her. I had to have her put to sleep April 2004 because she had bad heart condition & had congestive heart failure. It broke my heart because she was my constant companion for 11 yrs. I will get another but never find another like her. I have outside cats & in fact I think I am feeding most of neighbors cats too. Must like food I have because they all show up when it's feeding time. My inside cat is being taken care of by our vet now because I have some health problems. I'm waiting til USC dr.& my neuro. dr. put their heads together & see if they can figure out what can do or if can do anything. My cat "Buddy" is so sweet, he's very light gray with little lighter gray at tips of his shoulders. He has long hair & loves to be cuddled. I miss him & hope I can have him home soon. I am so glad I saw your pictures of Titi. Your kitty is so beautiful. I love the photos that are close-ups. What a sweet adorable face. I enjoyed all the different views & can't tell you how cute they are. Those of Titi in the sink were precious! It's easy to tell Titi has a home full of love. As soon as my kitty comes home the first thing I'm going to do is take pictures. I want to show everyone how pretty he is too. Thanks for sharing your pics of your beautiful kitty. Another from So. Titino, además, es extraordinariamente "guapo" y por los comentarios que haces al pié de cada foto se nota el inmenso cariño que le tienes. En mi álbum "Los gatos de la familia", Simba es el de mi ex-marido, Lina el de mi nieto y Trasto es el mío. Es absolutamente negro y tiene el pelo suave y brillante como el terciopelo. Vivimos solos, él y yo, y me hace tanta compañía, y lo quiero tanto, y es tan cariñoso, que hace pocos días me sorprendí a mí misma diciéndole "Por favor, no te mueras antes que yo".
