I love your pictures. I have a new addition to the family and he has the same colorings but has black ears with some brown. Looks like they were dipped in black paint. Your "puppy" Frankie is the neatest! Our "puppy" Baby looks almost exactly like him. I wish I could send you a photo of Baby. The groomer asked us if Baby was a "tomboy.&quo t; (I didn't know what she meant! But apparently my wife caught on and told the groomer, yes, that Baby acted pretty boy-ish.) I'm still clueless about that whole conversation! If you saw Baby's pic, maybe you'd understand--she's groomed exactly like your Frankie. BTW, what are y'all feeding him? My Mum named her beautiful male shih tzu "Bailey&quot ; and they live so happily ever after in Powell River, B.C. When she takes him on "walkies&quo t; twice a day to the rec centre, folks are always stopping to admire him (he seems like a twin of your Frankie - I can't believe it!) This small town would be full of these precious little guys if your puppies were available for sale up there. I purchased him when he was eight weeks old in the Lower Mainland, a couple of years ago now, and his little brother's name (provided by the breeder on her vet's receipts ) was "Bailey&quot ; - could our Bailey be Val Potter's Bailey's brother? Maybe not, but we too have been so blessed by his incredible little breed. Keep up the great photo essays; it really brings joy to my heart, especially as I only get to visit them once a month for a couple of days. Thank you so very much for your photo's. I have two beautiful shih tzu's name Spike and Underdog (brother & sister from different litters). Spike is about to go to doggie heaven and I will miss him so much. He has been with me to 37 states for 15 years. He is a lot of fun now but soon I fear I'll have to let him go. I really liked your puppy photos. Aren't Shih Tzu's great! I had a little 'black and white one named "Cowboy&quot ; for 13 years. He died of heart failure in my arms. I was just heartbroken. then after a year we got another 'black and white one. I just had a great time viewing the pictures of your Shih Tzu dog. I have two. Mother and Daughter. I got my first five years ago Christmas. At 1.5 I let her have a litter and she had 5 little girls. I rescued a Shih Tzu. He was very neglected and abused I think. He has many issues, but we cleaned him up got him in good health and we love him. Even if he bites us whenever he feels like it. I was just wondering we have a runt shih tzu who almost died on us on father's day - they said that they thought she had problems with her liver but we think she got stung by a bee - she went lifeless on us and had a very shallow heartbeat to the point where I had to breath for her until we got her to emergency vet and by the time we got her there she had come around somewhat and now to this day she is slowly coming around to her normal self again but not 100% have you ever had one bit by a bee if so what symptoms did they have and how long did it take to come around out of it. It seemed like it was a shock to her system she only weighs 5 lbs. please let me know. thank you.

I loved these pictures. I have two shih tzus and I love them. They are only 6 months old right now..it has been interesting and tiring. they finally let me sleep til 8:30 on New Years Day...but are back to their 5:30 am schedule. :)) Kia looks like yours...Trooper though is different...started out black and white but is a mottled mess of colors... I should put them in here somewhere to show people how cute they are. thanks for sharing. I got some laughs. Susanna

Hi I have had Shih Tzus for the last 18 yrs. I lost bootze at 15 1/2 and Benji at 10. I have one of their pups. Squirt is going to be 16 in May. Would never think of having any other type of dog. I love them all but shih tzus are my favorite. sweetpea8385
