Album Description:

Here's Mosby.. Timnehs are smaller than the congos, excellent talkers, and very intelligent. Mosby is named after a famous Confederate Raider, Colonel John Singleton Mosby, known as The Gray Ghost. Fitting name for Mosby, I think.

  • Hey all, I just wanted to let you know Bert (27 year old Timneh) Just pooped on me and flew home after seeing Mosby. Bert knows it is not permitted to poop on me so I guess he/she(never been sexed) has a major crush on Mosby. Some of your pics really show the essence of the sweet and unique personallity of the Timneh. Thanks for sharing M

  • I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your TAG pictures - they are my regular wallpaper choices both at home and at work. I brought home my TAG babby in November. Chiku is a doll baby; but, unfortunately her momma doesn't have as good a camera nor the talent you have in showing the world what marvelously beautiful creatures our fids are - thank you!

  • You have portrayed the African Gray in a beautiful and artful manner. This wonderful bird, being less showy than other hook bills in appearance, has not had justice done to it's beautiful and intelligent qualities. I have no birds, but love the hook-bills and would love to have a Gray.

  • Dear Mary Beth: Not only have you been unconditional and honest mentor during this ongoing journey to add our "first" parrot to our family, but you inadvertently you have taught us that it is more than just deciding on the appropriate species. While visiting breeders, we are quickly learning that, although the choice of species is certainly important, but equally important is the package ... the people who we connect with as breeders, companions of these parrots and their integraity, character and ethics (ICE). We are still confused, considering a Timneh, Caique, Hahn's, but as we talk to and meet people, the journey is narrowing down to a decision & important consideration: "who will convince us that they are "truly" passionate about their parrots ... and consider themselves mentors/teachers not just breeders. Many thanks and we will keep you updated on our journey. By the way, I hope you get this, as I'm sending this message via my new laptop, McAllister ... inanimate object be that it may, we need to get to understand one another (heehee). Peace in your heart, mind, body and those of your birds ... Maureen Ross

  • I certainly enjoyed your albums! Thank you for sharing your pets with Webshot picture fanciers! I currently have around 700 pet birds in my aviary and 3 Blue & Gold Macaws and 2 Moluccan Cockatoos, which are members of the family, in the bird room in the house. Nearly all my birds are hand-raised from hatch and extremely tame. Most of them seem to think they are people too and they all talk because they teach each other. We also share our lives with lots of dogs and cats. Being such an animal and bird lover I always enjoy seeing other people's pictures of the pets they love too. Best wishes to all of you and yours! Judy... Judy's Pet Birds. I would be happy if you signed my guestbook too. My Webshots Community Albums link is: http://community.webshots.com/user/jmthornsberry

  • Oh, I love that scritches picture! It perfectly captures the love and comfort that bonded birds have when they enjoy their scritching sessions. I wish I could get a similar photo of Hal. Wonderful!
