Tipton County Animal Shelter is a smaller facility located in Brighton,TN. which is only about 20 miles (give or take a few) from the Memphis City limit on Hwy 51. They are a "kill" shelter but it is done humanely. The shelter only has about 45 pens for dogs and even fewer for cats. They euthanize 1-2 times a week due to overcrowding and illness. This shelter is new and is kept clean by a wonderful dedicated staff. They are rescue friendly and would rather find placement than PTS but have rules to follow that are out of their control. The adoption fee is $38 at most and does include rabies shot and tag voucher and $25 is spay/neuter deposit. Spay/Neuter of the pet is mandatory per Tennessee State Law. It must be done within 30 days of adoption or within 30 days of obtaining 6 months of age. They often have many small dogs and purebreeds. This album was started to let people see just some of the dogs available. Due to my own rescue commitments, I will only be able to update the album about once a week...Stay tuned, more great pets coming your way!!!
