Shame my few chick photos were all blurred, they were all too quick for me. Your patience for just the right shot always amazes me. Glad that I was able to assist by cleaning the cage out every day for you but I am pleased the chicks have gone back to the kindergarten now.

Hello Poppy, the chicks in this album are so adorable. We used to have chickens when the kids were small and they used to love the chicks as well. Sorry to hear about your hand surgery. Hope you feel better soon. I can imagine how frustrating it would be not to be able to use your right hand! Best wishes, Brigitte

Hi Lynn, Enjoyed seeing the little chicks. I was raised on a farm and had some of these myself. Sounds like Brian gets the kind of jobs I do around the house. Great shots of these highly active little guys. Take care, Bruce

Hi Lynn, This is an exemplary album on the interaction between people and chickens. It is so lovely to see those little chicks enjoying their life, not knowing what fear is, and cared for by kind and gentle people. I do a lot of work for animal welfare and most of the time the pictures I see of chickens are horror stories. If only all chickens were rearerd in this manner.... I have a small album on ducks that you might enjoy. Best wishes, Kathryn Jones

Poppy do you know? When chick comes out from egg and opens eye, who ever first living in the eye of chick, chick consider him or her as mother and always follow him or her. for example if check see cat, consider cat as mother, same way with dog hen human. Same with peacock egg. In India many people put peacock egg with hen egg, peacock develops with check and hen. -Jay

Hi Susan, what a gorgeous album, it brings back memories of growning up in the country and having chicks around. Of course they had a mother to care for and teach them; and it was a wonderful education it was for me as a child. Many thanks for visiting my featured album, Street Photos, and for leaving a comment, your support and encouragement is always appreciated. All the best from Keith.
